Motherfuckers act like they forgot about Sage.

Non-motherfuckers, however, may recall these rings from page five. They’re one of the weird collaborative bits of making comics, because this wasn’t originally an ability he had but the rings Sabu drew in her design looked cool, so I made them shoot out. Pew pew!

I did a lot more pre-production for Saffron and Sage than I did for Legend of the Hare, and LotH Final Mix etc. has more prep work still. 1,700 words isn’t a lot, but this is just the outline, which isn’t finalized because I want to show it to a beta...

I did a lot more pre-production for Saffron and Sage than I did for Legend of the Hare, and LotH Final Mix etc. has more prep work still. 1,700 words isn’t a lot, but this is just the outline, which isn’t finalized because I want to show it to a beta reader and the rest of the team before doing a second draft (though, really, the whole comic is a second draft).

This version differs from OG LotH in a lot of ways. For instance, Molly, Amaya, Maeconolith, Helen, and all the dogs aren’t in it at all, and Eoin and Kaimay have been combined into a single rabbit named Caoimhe. Tempest is also in danger of being cut, Starflower’s personality is changed a lot, and there’s a new major character named Cecily Parsley. But the core, I think, is the same, just streamlined and with space to re-add those characters down the line. This project remains in serious danger of actually happening.

You know what else is in danger of actually happening? Us updating on time! We’re on a streak now, with a buffer and everything. I suppose I shouldn’t act all proud of us doing what we’re supposed to do, though, but it’s nice that production is smoothed out and Thren is getting the inks early enough to have time to color them.
