Honestly just assuming dwarves are gonna mug you in general is profiling an entire race. Bad form Corj. I’d like to see a peer reviewed survey on said dwarven assaults in the three years before excepting such blatant, racist hyperbole!
Well, you know how they say pregnant women have “the glow”? I guess dwarven women have it 24/7/365.
I’m reminded of the “dwarven lighthouse” from my old college D&D group, though that involved the rest of us tying a torch to her helmet because nobody wanted to carry the thing.

But that would not really work either way:
If she was walking in front, the one behind her would be blinded.
Any direction where she was not on the outermost side or the highest character (wich really only works in a group of halfling/gnomesized characers), would just have a huge shadow.
I mean I can understand wanting to have your hands free. But this is choosing between a shield and not having light/a spot check. Wich means loosing Dex bonus to defense.
